Owning Life Fully: Healthy Dinner, Supportive Community, Speakers,
Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S., affecting 40 million adults in the United States age 18 and older. Excessive anxiety saps mental and physical health, decreases joy in relationships, and steals energy. Our goal is to introduce some tools that you can use to live more in control of your thoughts and emotions and thereby handle your anxiety and stress. We chose this book as our discussion tool: The Gifts of Imperfection. Brene Brown. As always, reading the book is not required but encouraged.
We are very excited about the speakers (they are each sharing powerful suggestions but in small amounts of time. We are confident each of us will leave this discussion with some powerful tools for dealing more effectively with anxiety and stress and thereby living more fully and having more ownership of our lives
