Dr. Robert Pendergrast, M.D.
The Natural Health Doctor
Dr. Robert Pendergrast studied music at Furman University before receiving his M.D. degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1983. He has a Master of Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins University.
After years of personal study of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), Dr. Pendergrast was selected in 2004 to be an Associate Fellow in the Program in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona, the program founded and directed by Dr. Andrew Weil. The two year Fellowship offers training in various CAM modalities to licensed medical doctors, and emphasizes partnership and patient empowerment.
Life and health coach Gail Pendergrast has a background in nursing with a graduate degree in community health nursing. She is a certified Parent Effectiveness Trainer and conducts seminars and workshops for businesses and employees on subjects such as stress management, eating health and understanding the power of thought.
Dr. Lianying He
Lianying He, LAc, PhD graduated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, with a Medical Bachelor degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). In addition, Lianying received PhD degree in Translational Medical Science from Nagoya City University Graduate School of Medicine in Nagoya, Japan. She is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of South Carolina and certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in the United States.
Karen Reid, LMT

Karen is a 2012 graduate of the Augusta School of Massage located in Evans Ga. She has been traveling a path of self – discovery and learning as an
avid yoga practitioner and teacher for nearly 12 yrs. She has a huge appreciation for the benefits of touch and is grateful to her yoga students who suggested and cheered her through
Through her science training (B.S. Biology) she brings to the table an analytic approach to massage that it is tempered with an intuitive touch cultivated from years of helping yoga students. Karen has additional training in Lomi Lomi (Hawaiian forearm massage) and will be certified in Thai Yoga Bodywork Nov 2013. She considers the practice of massage (the facilitation of self-healing in others) to be her duty, a return gift for the blessings of opportunity, health and wellness.
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
Kim Beavers is a registered dietitian nutritionist, author, and speaker. She specializes in wellness, disease prevention, and culinary nutrition. Her
passion is to translate nutrition recommendations into actionable steps and delicious food strategies that clients can implement to improve their health, performance, and reduce risk of disease. She
strives to educate, empower and encourage clients to make sustainable lifestyle changes.
Kim holds a Bachelor and Master of Science degree in Health Sciences from James Madison University. She is a Certified Diabetes Educator and a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). She is also a member of several AND practice groups including the Food and Culinary Professionals, Diabetes Care and Education, and Nutrition Entrepreneurs groups.
